At CD MEDIA S.E. we are committed to respecting and protecting your privacy and personal data.
This Privacy Notice describes the information that CD MEDIA S.E. and its affiliated companies and subsidiaries (“CD MEDIA”) collect about you through their website, by email, by phone or in person. It also explains how your personal data is used, shared, and protected, what choices you have relating to your personal data and how you can contact us.
WHO are WE?
Founded in 1993 in Athens, Greece, the core business of CD MEDIA consists of adding value to interactive entertainment software and hardware, through its marketing and distribution expertise and knowledge of regional markets. Operating as the authorized Service Point of Nintendo, CD MEDIA provides Nintendo users residing in Greece with repair services in respect of their Nintendo products either covered by the manufacturer’s guarantee or not.

WHAT Personal Data Do We Collect and WHEN?

We obtain information about you when you use our website, for example when you contact us about products and Services or when you place an order or when you attend our events. When you interact with us through our Services, we collect data directly from you or from other sources, if applicable, following your request for the provision of our Services. Your contact details:
first name, last name, address (street name, street number, PO box, City, Country), email address, cell phone number, land line phone number, age (in some cases).
Your purchase details:
Your device Serial Number, Purchase date, a copy of your purchase receipt.

Information regarding your Nintendo Account such as:
Your NNID (Nintendo Network ID), your Birthdate, your Nintendo Account email.

Cookies:
Our site may use cookies for analytics purposes (google analytics). Please refer to its respective privacy policy of Google. In case of enabling a new cookie you will be notified accordingly.

This data is used for the following purposes:
This data enables fast and efficient rendering of our Services to you. In addition, it is used for communication purposes, such as notifying you about the Services and delivery or receipt of Nintendo products, responding to you if you contact us with a question or concern, providing information about your account, your use of the Services or other transactions that you request.

It may be used to deliver location-based Services and comply with territorial restrictions and to diagnose and fix problems with the Services and providing other customer support services.

User information may be complemented by information from other sources i.e. to be linked to your personal information of your Nintendo account, if any and if necessary in order to handle any technical, product, or customer support requests that we must satisfy.

Legal basis for the processing
The processing of your information, which is used for the provision of our Services, is based on the performance of a contract.
If and when we process your information on the basis of our legitimate interests, we clearly and fully communicate and explain this to you.
The processing of your information, which is used for marketing and/or other promotion actions, is based on your consent.

Collecting Information from Children
Company’s website or Services are not directed to children. We may not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under 18 years of age. If you are under 18 years of age, then please do not use or access our Services at any time or in any manner without parental consent. Controller reserves the right to delete this information if it learns that Personal data of children under the age of 18 has been collected on the Services without parental consent. Alternatively, Controller may request the parental consent. If you are a parent or guardian and discover that your child under the age of 18 has obtained access of our Services, then you may contact our Customer Support at ncs@cdmedia.gr and request to delete that child’s personal information.

Data Retention
We retain your information for the duration of our business relationship. We store specific client and customer information for at least fifteen (15) years to be able to meet our obligations to keep accurate records for tax or other administrative authorities.
We store newsletter (and/or other promotion actions) subscriber information until such subscriber indicates that he/she no longer wants to receive the newsletter (and/or other promotion material).

Transferring of information outside the EU
Information we collect from you is transferred and will be processed outside the EU, in Turkey.
Each and every transfer of personal data to a third country shall only occur if the specific requirements of Articles 44 et seq. of the GDPR have been fulfilled.

We respect and protect your private information. Security of your information is very important to us, and we do our best to secure your information. Albeit it should be noted that the Internet is not a secure environment, so we encourage you to be vigilant about protecting the confidentiality of your information. We have implemented a number of security features throughout the Company's websites that are intended to help prevent the unauthorized release of or access to the user information we collect online.

To protect your Personal Data, we restrict access to it to CD MEDIA employees, contractors and agents who need it to perform their job duties. In addition, those who have access to Personal Information are subject to contractual or legal confidentiality obligations and may be disciplined or have their contracts terminated if they fail to meet these obligations.

We protect your information by using physical, technical, and administrative security measures to reduce the risks of loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, and alteration.

Nevertheless, no one can guarantee absolute protection of your Personal Data. You must also do your part in protecting the data, systems, networks, and Services that you are using.

We may share your Personal Data only in the following cases:

  • It may be necessary − by law, legal process, litigation, and/or requests from public and governmental authorities and institutions to disclose your Personal Information. We may also disclose information about you if such disclosure is necessary or appropriate for purposes of national security, law enforcement, or other issues of public importance.
  • We may also disclose information about you if we determine that disclosure is reasonably necessary to enforce our terms and conditions or protect our operations or users.
  • With Your Consent: You will be informed about other possible cases of sharing your Personal Data and will have the right to prevent this.

CD MEDIA does not trade your Personal Data or transmit to any other recipient than those mentioned above.
